KINDNESS

LUKE 6:45
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
Everyone says things from time to time that they later regret saying. Often at such moments, one may hear people say, “I didn't mean to say that”, or “It just slipped out”.
But Jesus says that words do not just appear by accident. They are born in the heart. What fills the heart will sooner or later manifest itself in words, actions, and attitudes toward others.
That is why Jesus pays attention not only to what a person says, but to what lies within them.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
God wants to change not only our behavior, but above all, our hearts.
We can learn to say the right words, hide our emotions, or appear kind to others. But if the heart remains filled with resentment, envy, pride, or anger, all of this will eventually manifest itself. When the heart is filled with God's love, truth, and peace, this also becomes noticeable in a person's life. Therefore, God begins His work not with outward changes, but with inner transformation.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Because it is impossible to hide the state of your heart for long. Our words often become a reflection of what is going on inside. If we want our actions to change, our hearts must first change. That is why God offers us not just to correct our speech or behavior, but to entrust our hearts to Him. Only He can make them new.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
1. Pay attention to your words. They can reveal what is now going on in your heart.
2. If you notice irritation, resentment, or anger within yourself, do not justify them, but bring them to God in prayer.
3. Fill your heart with God's Word every day, for it is this Word that gradually transforms your thoughts, character, and your entire life.
CONCLUSION
Changes in life begin with changes in the heart.
When God changes a person's heart, their words, actions, and relationships with people gradually change.
FINAL THOUGHT
Our words are a mirror of our hearts. Therefore, the most important question is not what we say. The most important question is what fills our hearts today. This is what will eventually become visible to everyone around us.
PRAYER
Lord, You know my heart better than I know myself. I understand that I cannot change myself on my own. Cleanse my heart of all that displeases You, and fill it with Your love, peace, and truth. Let my words and actions reflect what You are doing within me.
I need You to make my heart more and more like You. Amen.
