FIDELITY

EPHESIANS 4:24
“And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
The Apostle Paul speaks of radical changes in life. We no longer live the old way – in sin and emptiness – but “put on” the new person, created by God Himself. These are not just slight external changes, but a new nature born within us.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY?
1. Religion changes one from the outside, God – from the inside.
People often think that spirituality is about external rules: how to dress, what to wear, how to look. But God acts differently – He begins with one’s heart and mindset. A changed mind and spirit give birth to a new life.
2. The old person lives in deception. This is a life under the influence of the devil's lies: selfishness, pride, sin.
3. The new person is born from truth.
This is God's plan, created “according to God” – in His righteousness and holiness. The new person reflects God’s character.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
We often want changes, but we start from the outside: changing our habits, actions, lifestyle. Without inner renewal, this will not last long. But if the heart and mind are filled with the Spirit of truth, the changes become natural. God does not ask us to “make ourselves better” – He gives one the opportunity to become a new person.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
- Make a conscious decision to resign from your past sinful life.
- Fill your mind with God's Word, not with fears, deception, or past experience.
- In any situation, ask yourself a question: How would Christ act?
- Entrust God with the process of change without trying to “fix yourself” on your own.
CONCLUSION
“Putting on the new self” means allowing God to completely re-clothe you from the inside: to remove the clothes of the old, decrepit, sinful man and clothe you in His truth, righteousness, and holiness. This is not your job, but God's plan for you.
FINAL THOUGHT
The old man is the product of the devil's lies. The new man is the creation of God's truth.
And every day we make a choice: to remain in the old or to put on the new.
PRAYER
Jesus, I thank You for Your sacrifice on the Cross so that we might be made new and redeemed.
Cleanse my mind of the lies of the enemy and fill it with Your truth.
I do not want to live in external religiosity – change me from within.
Clothe me in Your righteousness and holiness so that my life reflects You. Let all that is old be left in the past, and let the new – from You – come alive in me.
Amen.
