FAITH

ISAIAH 43:18–19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is God's message to people who have stuck in the past. Some live in memories of the good, the past, others in the pain of the bad. And God says: if you look back, you do not see what I am doing now.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
God does not deny the past. He does not say, “Forget it all”. He says, "Do not live by it”. Even if He has saved, helped, and led before, He has not finished yet. God is not the God of “someday”. He is the God of the present and the future. “I am doing a new thing” means:
• where you see no way out, He paves the way
• where you feel empty inside, He gives life
• where everything has dried out, He creates a river.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Many people lose hope not because God does not act, but because they wait for Him to do what He did before. But God does not repeat His deeds. He creates something new – and often it begins quietly, imperceptibly, internally.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• Stop measuring the future by the past.
• Do not demand a repeat from God – trust His new plan.
• Notice where small hope appears in your life. Sometimes “new things” begin with one quiet step of faith.
CONCLUSION
The past should not be a prison. Even the blessed past. If God says, “I am doing a new thing”, it means that there is a path ahead, even if you cannot see it right now.
FINAL THOUGHT
The most dangerous state is when God has already started something new, but man still lives in the old way.
PRAYER
Lord, I let go of the past which I hold onto with my heart. What was in the past, I give to You. Even if I fear the new, I believe You are already acting. Open my eyes to see Your path where I see a desert. I choose to trust You and follow where You lead. Amen.
