EZEKIEL 36:36
“Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I have done it”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is addressed to people for whom everything has been destroyed: their external life, their future, their inner support. This is not about minor difficulties — it is about a state when it seems as if nothing can be restored. And it is in this state that God speaks: He Himself will restore what has been destroyed.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. God speaks exactly where everything is destroyed.
Not where everything is good, but where there is emptiness, brokenness, and loss.
People often try to hide such places in life, but God speaks directly there.
2. “HAVE REBULT WHAT WAS DESTROYED” — THIS IS ABOUT TRUE RESTORATION.
Not about comforting words or “getting used to it and living on”.
This is about the fact that God can restore the meaning, put what was destroyed back together, and give new wholeness.
3. “HAVE REPLANTED WHAT WAS DESOLATE” — GOD NOT ONLY RESTORES BUT ALSO GIVES LIFE.
Where there was emptiness, life can appear. This is deeper than simply “correcting mistakes” —
It is about a new beginning, something a person cannot create on their own.
4. “I HAVE SPOKEN IT, AND I HAVE DONE IT”
Human words often remain just words. But here it is emphasized that God does not simply speak of restoration; He brings it to the desired result. It is a question of trust: does a person believe that God can truly do this?
5. “AND THE NATIONS SHALL KNOW” — RESTORATION BECOMES VISIBLE
What is done by God does not remain only inside a person. Changes become noticeable: in one’s life, in one's state, in one's journey. This is not a hidden process, but a reality that can be seen.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
People tend to make ultimate conclusions: “It cannot be fixed”, “it is too late”, “it is too broken”. But this verse destroys the very idea of ultimate hopelessness.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
1. Honestly see what is broken or devastated in your life.
2. Stop considering this the end point.
3. Trust God with exactly these areas, not just the “good” ones.
4. Do not demand immediate results, but allow God to act and trust Him completely.
CONCLUSION
God works not only where everything is whole, but especially where everything is broken.
FINAL THOUGHT
Man sees a limit. God sees a place from which to begin again. And where everything seems lost, He is able to create a life that man could never build on his own.
PRAYER
Lord, You see what is broken in me. I bring it to You without trying to hide it or fix it myself. Restore what I cannot gather, and revive what has become empty.
Grant me complete trust in You and not come to a full stop where You continue to act. Amen.
