HEBREWS 10:24 “And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds”.
WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT? This verse is about responsibility for one another. The Apostle Paul is not talking about personal spirituality on one’s own, but about how people influence one another in real life. Faith is shown here not as an internal experience “for oneself”, but as something that becomes revealed in relationships. WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE? God calls us to be attentive – this means noticing the other person's state, not living nearby and remaining indifferent. The meaning of the word “stimulate” is not to put pressure or control, but to awaken, inspire, and support. Love and good deeds do not just happen on their own. They often need a nudge – someone's word, someone's concern, someone's “I'm here for you”. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? One of the most difficult human experiences is loneliness among people. When no one sees, hears, or supports you, your heart gradually grows cold. This verse reminds us: we either help each other become alive, or we silently allow each other to fade away. HOW TO USE IT TODAY • Notice the people around you: who needs support right now? • Say a kind word or do a small act of kindness – it can change someone else's day. • Do not pass by – being attentive is also a form of love. CONCLUSION True faith is always directed outward. It is expressed not only in words, but in care, attention, and particular actions toward others. FINAL THOUGHT Sometimes a person does not need advice or answers. They need someone to be attentive to their life. Through simple concern, God often ignites love and gives strength to move forward. PRAYER Lord, forgive me when I passed by and was not attentive to the feelings of others. Teach me to see the people around me and not ignore their pain. Give me a heart that can support, inspire, and love not in words but in deeds. Teach me to love as You love. Amen.
