HUMILITY

1 CORINTHIANS 10:24
“No one should seek their own good, but the good of others”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is not simply about kindness or politeness. It is about shifting the center of life. Humans are naturally focused on themselves: their desires, their own gain, their own comfort. But here we hear a different principle: living not from the standpoint of “what will I gain?” but from the standpoint of “what will benefit others?”
This is not about losing oneself — this is about transcending the “self”.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
A self-centered life always remains empty. True fulfillment comes when a person begins to see other people. Love is not a feeling, but a choice and an action: seek not your own good, but the good of others.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The world teaches: “love yourself”, “think about yourself”, “achieve your goals”. But such a path closes one’s heart, and ultimately, pride always leads to falling.
This verse reveals a different law: when a person stops living only for themselves, something appears within that neither success nor comfort can provide — a true fulfillment with unconditional love, the source of which is God Himself.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• In a simple situation, ask yourself a question: “What would be best not only for myself?”
• Notice the needs of others, even if it requires effort.
• Learn to do good without expecting a response.
• Do not put yourself at the center of every situation.
CONCLUSION
Life becomes deeper not when a person receives more, but when they begin to sincerely care for others and give them more.
FINAL THOUGHT
Sometimes it seems that by giving, you lose. But it is at this moment that a person becomes
who they were meant to be.
PRAYER
Lord, teach me to see not only myself, but also others. Grant me a heart that knows how to care and give. Make me free from the desire to live only for myself, remove pride from my heart,
and fill me with true love. Amen.
