GRATITUDE

2 CORINTHIANS 9:15
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is a short, but profound exclamation by the Apostle Paul. He speaks of God's greatest gift, one that cannot be fully expressed in words. This gift is Jesus Christ and salvation through Him.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
“His indescribable gift” means a gift so great that human words are insufficient to describe its fullness.
God gave man not just help, not just a blessing, but His Son Himself. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, man received the opportunity of:
— sins being forgiven
— reconciliation with God
— new life
— and eternal life.
This is a gift that cannot be earned or deserved – it can only be accepted with gratitude.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
People often focus on temporary gifts: health, success, material wealth.
But the Apostle Paul directs their gaze higher: God's greatest gift is the salvation of the soul.
All other blessings are temporary, but this gift has eternal significance.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• Thank God for salvation through Jesus Christ.
• Do not take God's grace for granted. Thank God for it.
• Live so that your life is a response of gratitude to God.
CONCLUSION
God's most precious gift is Christ and the salvation that comes through Him, opening the way to eternal life.
FINAL THOUGHT
When a person truly understands the value of God's gift, their heart is filled with gratitude. The Cross of Christ is not just an event in history; it is the greatest expression of God's love for man.
PRAYER
Lord, I thank You for Your priceless gift – Jesus Christ and salvation through Him. Help me learn to appreciate this grace and live in such a way that my life glorifies You. Thank You for everything. Amen.
