HUMILITY

2 CORINTHIANS 7:10
“For Godly sorrow produces an repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world brings about death”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is about a condition familiar to everyone: feelings of guilt, regret, and pain due to one's mistakes. But it shows that this internal reaction can vary in essence and consequences.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. There are two types of “sorrow”. On the outside, they may look the same: a person feels bad, they are worried, they are struggling. But inside, they are two different paths.
2. “GODLY SORROW” LEADS TO CHANGE.
This is a state when a person sees their mistake and sin, does not justify themselves, and wants to change.
This does not destroy; on the contrary, it leads to a turn in life.
Such an experience leads to repentance, that is, to a real change in direction.
3. "REPENTANCE WITHOUT REGRET" is not just the emotion of “I am sorry”.
This is a decision to live differently, to quit what is destructive and not repeat it. And then not to regret this choice.
4. "THE SORROW OF THE WORLD" – ISOLATES AND DESTRUCTS.
This is a different reaction: self-flagellation, a feeling of hopelessness, self-absorption.
A person remains in their feeling guilty, but does not change. And this gradually destroys them from within.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Many people live with guilt but do not know what to do with it. They either suppress it or drown in it. This verse shows the path: to use this state as a point of change.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
1. Discern whether your worries about what I have done lead to a change or to depression and repetition of mistakes.
2. Do not remain in the feeling of guilt and depression.
3. Admit your mistakes honestly, without excuses. Ask God to forgive you and help you change.
4. Take a step toward change, not just regret.
CONCLUSION
Not every kind pain destroys. There is pain that leads to repentance and change in life.
FINAL THOUGHT
What matters is not what a person temporarily felt, but where it leads them. Some sorrows close and destroy, while others open the door to salvation and transform lives.
PRAYER
Lord, forgive me...
Forgive my sins, both conscious and unconscious. I repent for having acted contrary to Your will. Do not let me get stuck in guilt, but lead me to real change in my heart.
Help me come to know You and learn to act as You would. Lead me to life, not to destruction. Amen.
