JOHN 11:25–26
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
Jesus speaks this to a woman whose brother has died. This is not philosophy or theory – it is a conversation at the moment of pain, loss, and actual death. And it is at this moment that He says: I am the life, and I am stronger than death.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. THE HUMAN PROBLEM IS A DEATH THAT IS NOT ONLY PHYSICAL.
We are used to thinking of death as the end of the body. But the Bible goes deeper: there is also spiritual death, when a person is separated from God. And it is exactly toward this state that a person is moving without God, even if everything appears to be fine.
2. WHAT JESUS SAYS:
“I am the resurrection and the life” – Jesus is not saying, “I will give you something”. He is saying: the source of life is I Myself. That is, without Him, a people can exist, but they do not have the life for which they were created.
3. WHAT DOES “THOUGH HE DIE, YET SHALL HE LIVE” MEAN?
This means that physical death is not the end. If a person believes in Christ, their life is not cut short - it continues with God.
4. WHAT DOES “NEVER DIE” MEAN?
This does not mean that a person will never die physically. It means that they will not be forever separated from God.
That is, the person will not fall into eternal destruction, but will live with God.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Sooner or later, everyone faces the question: what will there be after death?
The world does not give a precise answer. Opinions vary, but there is no certainty. Jesus speaks in a very straightforward way:
there is life after death – and it depends on a person's relationship with Him. This makes this verse more than just beautiful words, but a question of choice and the meaning of the earthly life.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• Think about eternity – it is not an abstraction, but a reality that concerns everyone.
• Honestly answer yourself: what is your hope based on? Do you have confidence in what will be next?
• Turn to Christ not as an idea, but as a Person Who gives life and salvation.
• Make a desicion to entrust your life and eternity to Him.
CONCLUSION
Jesus is not just a teacher of life. He is the One Who gives life and has power over death.
FINAL THOUGHT
The most important question is not what to become in this life or what to accumulate, but what will happen afterwards. What is the meaning and main purpose of life? Jesus says: life does not end with death – it either continues with God or, without Him, leads to destruction. And the choice is made now.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, You are the resurrection and the life. I believe that You have conquered death and give eternal life. I do not want to live without a meaning and go to destruction. Forgive me. Accept me and give me this life that never ends. Amen.
