LOVE

PSALM 102:11
“For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
David is trying to show something almost impossible for human understanding — how vast God's mercy is. He compares it to the distance between heaven and earth. That is, God's love and mercy are far greater than man can fully comprehend.
“Those who fear Him” is not about people who live in terror of God. It is about those who revere God, trust Him, and want to be close to Him.
This verse reminds us that God treats people not with coldness and a desire to punish, but with immense mercy.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
God knows all of man's weaknesses, his mistakes, his falls, and his inner struggles — and yet He continues to love. People often love as long as the person they love is convenient, successful, or meets their expectations. But God's mercy is deeper than human love. This does not mean that God is indifferent to sin. But this means that His heart is filled not with the desire to destroy man, but to save and restore him. Sometimes man cannot forgive himself, but God's mercy proves greater than human condemnation.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Because many people live with the feeling that they are not good enough for God.
Some carry a sense of guilt inside. Some fear that God has turned away from them after their mistakes and sins.
Some think that God's love has ended. But this verse reminds us: God's mercy is far greater than human failures. And when a person begins to understand this, their heart stops living only in fear and begins to learn trust.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
- Do not run away from God because of your weaknesses and mistakes; instead, come to Him honestly.
- Remind yourself that God's love is not built solely on your successes or perfection.
- Learn not only to accept God's mercy, but also to show it to other people.
CONCLUSION
God's love for man is much deeper than people often imagine.
His mercy can cover even the gravest mistakes and give one hope to start the path anew.
FINAL THOUGHT
God's mercy is God's unconditional love, which remains faithful even when a person repeatedly faces their weakness and falls. God's love is not measured by human merit. This is why a person can come to God not with the fear of rejection, but with the hope that God always has enough mercy to forgive, lift up, and not abandon.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for Your immense mercy and love for me.
Thank You for not turning away from me even when I make mistakes and fall, but for patiently helping me up and healing all my wounds. Teach me to love other people and show mercy as You do. Amen.
