FIDELITY

1 JOHN 2:6
“Whoever claims to abide in Him must live as He did”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is about the genuineness of faith and faithfulness. The Apostle John says that if one claims to be in Christ, this should be evident not by words, but by one’s life. To live “in Him” means to live as Jesus lived: in love, obedience to the Father, Truth, and humility.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
God shows that faith is not just acknowledging that Jesus is the Lord, but following His example every day. God wants our actions to be a reflection of Christ in us, so that by looking at our lives, people can feel His light and love.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Because the world today is full of words, but little evidence. People often say they believe, but their lives do not reveal God's presence. True faith becomes evident through one’s character: through forgiveness, kindness, patience, honesty, and mercy. When we live like Jesus, we become a living testimony of Him.
CONCLUSION
Acting like Christ is not about perfection, but about pursuing Him. It is a path where every step brings us closer to God’s heart.
FINAL THOUGHT
He who is truly in Christ does not simply talk about God; he lives in such a way that God Himself can be seen through him.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
Before saying or doing anything, ask yourself, “Would Jesus do this?”
If the answer contains love, kindness, and truth, then you are walking along His path. Let your actions today be a quiet but powerful witness to Christ.
PRAYER
Lord, help me not only to say that I believe, but also to live so that Your love is reflected in every action and word of mine. Teach me to go along Your paths, to act with mercy, to forgive with ease, and to serve with joy. May my life be a reflection of Your grace and love. Amen.
