PSALTER 36:28
“For the Lord loves judgment, and He will not forsake His saints; they shall be preserved for ever, and the impious will perish”.
WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is about God's fidelity. David says that God is not indifferent to how a person lives. He loves truth, that is, honesty and purity of heart. He does not abandon those who live by the Truth, who strive to keep their hearts pure, even when injustice surrounds them.
These are words of confidence: God sees the righteous, protects them, does not forget them, and will not allow evil to prevail.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. God is faithful and loves the Truth.
In the world filled with lies and injustice, these often seem stronger at first glance, but God remains unchanging forever. He stands on the side of truth because He Himself is the Truth. No evil will remain unnoticed or unpunished.
2. He protects those who belong to Him.
Even if everything seems to be unfair, remember, God does not abandon those who are His own. His love does not depend on circumstances and time. He does not always protect us in the way we expect, but He always does it faithfully and in time – for our good.
3. Evil will not triumph forever.
People may act dishonestly and it may seem to be unpunishable, but God will not allow evil to triumph infinitely. One day, all the falsehood will be revealed and destroyed, and there will be a reckoning for everything.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Because sometimes it seems that evil and injustice get away with everything, and honesty brings no good. But God says, “I see everything. I am nearby. I am fair”. This verse reminds us: living with a pure and honest heart is never in vain. God will not abandon those who strive to be faithful to Him, even if the world has turned its back.
CONCLUSION
God's love for Truth is not just words. He Himself supports those who choose goodness and honesty, even if it is difficult and disadvantageous. Righteous people may be hurt, misunderstood, offended, but not forgotten – God is with them and will preserve them forever.
FINAL THOUGHT
Faithfulness to God is not an easy path, but a protected and right one. God sees one’s heart, not appearance, and promises: “I will not abandon you”.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• Do not give up if kindness and honesty seem useless in a particular situation. God sees your fidelity.
• When the world overwhelms you with lies and cynicism, remain honest.
• Remind yourself: being with God means being under His protection, even if there is a storm around you.
PRAYER
Lord, the world around me is full of injustice and lies. Help me not to become hardened and similar to this world. Teach me to love the truth as You love it. Give me the strength to remain honest, even when it is difficult, faithful, even when no one sees it. Keep my heart in Your Truth and help me always remember that You never abandon those who are Your own. Amen.
