PROVERBS 16:3
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans”.
WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse is about the proper foundation for all human affairs. It speaks not simply of planning, but of entrusting one's intentions and actions to God. One can make plans, but true order comes when these plans are under God's direction and do not contradict with His will.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do” is not simply a statement of one's plans, but an entrustment of them to Him, allowing God to direct and manage.
This includes:
— motives of the heart,
— goals,
— decisions,
— actions.
“He will establish your plans” is not a promise that everything will be easy or exactly as one has planned. It is a promise that God will confirm and direct what is in line with His will.
When a person entrusts their affairs to God, they acquire the right direction and results.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
People often act out of their own ambitions, fear, or haste.
Such decisions can lead to losses and disappointment. But when a person first seeks God's guidance, their actions become more stable and meaningful.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• Before beginning important tasks, turn to God.
• Check your motives – what are you doing this for?
• Trust God to adjust your plans and ask for His will.
CONCLUSION
True stability in one’s affairs comes when their foundation is trust in God.
FINAL THOUGHT
A person can plan many things, but only God sees the whole picture of life. When we entrust Him with our paths, He not only guides us, but also corrects our course where we might err and fall.
PRAYER
Lord, I entrust my plans and desires to You. Guide my decisions so that everything will be according to Your will. May everything I do be under Your guidance and bear fruit pleasing to You. Amen.
