JEREMIAH 10:10
“But the Lord is the truth; he is the living God, the eternal King…”
WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
The verse tells us about three main attributes of God:
• He is the truth – everything God says and does is true and correct.
• He is alive – not a dead idol or an abstraction, not a picture or a statue, but a real Person acting throughout the world and in people’s lives.
• He is the eternal King – His power is not temporary, does not depend on circumstances or human systems and choices, but is absolute and eternal.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. God is the Truth. Almost everything in this world can deceive or fail, but God's words are always true and unchanging.
2. God is Living. He is not a soulless force or a symbol. God hears prayers, acts in people's lives, and supports those who seek Him and trust Him.
3. God is the Eternal King. His power is above any earthly power, and no circumstances can destroy His plan.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
• There are a lot of false hopes and idols in the world –money, success, power, career, people, opinions.
This verse reminds us once again that everything is temporary and unreliable.
Only God is eternal and true.
• Understanding that God is a living and fair King provides security and support, even when we are surrounded by chaos, injustice, and difficulties.
• Knowing this truth helps us distinguish good from lies and build our lives on a solid foundation – the truth.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
1. Check your priorities. What in life do you place above God?
2. Turn to God when in difficulties. Pray and trust that the living and almighty God hears and acts.
3. Hold fast to the truth. In situations of doubt, difficulties, and injustice, remember: God's words and promises are faithful and unchanging.
4. Build your life on an eternal and true foundation. Align your thoughts and decisions and act in such a way that they correspond to God's truth and not to the trends of this world.
CONCLUSION
God is not a dead idol or a painted image, not a symbol or an idea. He is alive, eternal, and faithful. His words can be trusted completely. If you build your life on Him, no deception, fear, or unpredictability of this world can shake your soul and faith.
FINAL THOUGHT
Truth is not just knowledge or a theory.
Truth is a Living Person. God is alive, faithful, and eternal. Relying on Him, one can calmly navigate life, even when there are anxiety, deception, and chaos all around.
PRAYER
Lord, the living, true, and eternal God, help me see Your truth every day and grow in it. Help me always hold on to You when I am surrounded by deception and doubt.
Grant me unwavering faith that You act and hear, that Your power is not subject to time or circumstances.
May Your strength fill my heart, giving me support and complete trust in You in everything. Amen.
