KINDNESS

PROVERBS 3:27
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
This verse teaches us not to close our hearts and eyes when someone nearby needs help. God says that if we have the opportunity to support – with words, deeds, money, or time – we should not delay or hide. This is a call to live with an open, kind, and generous heart.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. God values acts of mercy. Faith is demonstrated not only in words, but also in particular acts of kindness.
2. The ability to help is a gift. If we have the strength, resources, or time, it means God has entrusted us to be His hands.
3. Not doing good means depriving someone of God's help. Sometimes our helping hand offered at the right time can save or change someone's life.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
We often think, “I’ll help later, when I have more time, when I'm in a better position”. But the Bible reminds us: help is needed here and now. We never know the value of our kind action for another person.
CONCLUSION
Every time we do good to our neighbor, we become conduits for God's love. By refusing, we miss the chance to be His instrument and lose the blessing.
FINAL THOUGHT
True strength is not in keeping something to yourself, but in giving it away in time.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• If you see someone in need, do not delay helping; do what you can right now.
• Sometimes even a simple word of support or a prayer is an act of goodness.
• Listen to the quiet promptings in your heart – often it is the Holy Spirit who points out who needs your help.
PRAYER
Lord, teach me to notice those around me who need kindness. Let me not close my heart or use busyness as an excuse. Fill me with the generosity and kindness that come from You. Let my hands be Your hands, and my words Your consolation. Make me a channel of Your love, so that everyone I help may see You through it. Amen.
