LOVE

COLOSSIANS 1:27
“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
The Apostle Paul speaks here of one of the greatest truths of the Gospel.
For centuries, people have known about God, worshiped God, and sought God. But now God reveals something astonishing: He wants not just to be near man, but to live in man.
“Christ in you” is not a figurative expression or a beautiful metaphor. It is the reality of a relationship with God, when the Spirit of Christ dwells in a believer’s heart.
This is exactly what Paul calls the mystery that has long been hidden and is now revealed to the whole world.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
God does not want to be just a story, a religion, or a set of rules for people.
He wants to be as close as at all possible.
Many people imagine God somewhere far away — in heaven, beyond their everyday lives. But the Gospel speaks differently: through Christ, God comes to live in the heart of man. This means that the believer is never alone. When things are hard, Christ is near. When things are unclear, Christ is near. When you feel helpless, Christ is near. Not somewhere far away, but inside, in the very depths of your heart.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Because people often seek strength, peace, confidence, and meaning in external circumstances.
But everything external can change. Paul reminds us that a Christian's greatest hope lies not around them, but within them — in Christ. This is why a believer can go through various circumstances and trials without losing hope. Their support is not their own strength or resources, but the presence of Christ in their life.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
- If you feel lonely, remember that Christ promised to always be with His children.
- Stop looking for your main support only in external circumstances — look for it in God.
- Throughout the day, remind yourself more often: “The Lord is near me and acting in my life”.
CONCLUSION
God's greatest gift to man is not something, but Someone. God does not just give forgiveness, blessings, or help. He gives Himself. That is why Paul calls this the glorious riches.
FINAL THOUGHT
Christianity does not begin when a person tries to reach out to God. It begins when God comes to live in the person's heart. “Christ in you” is more than just a biblical phrase. It is an answer to the deepest loneliness of the human soul.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for not only opening the way to You for me, but for wanting to be with me every day. Thank You for Your presence, which gives me peace, strength, and hope.
Help me live with the knowledge that You are near and that my greatest support is in You. Teach me to trust You with my heart and remember that I am never alone. Amen.
