FAITH

PSALTER 55:4
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
These are the words of a man who admits he is afraid sometimes.
There is no perfection here, no “I am always strong”. There is honesty, humility, and hope: there is fear, but there is also a choice about what to do with it.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
1. Fear is a reality, not a weakness. Even a strong person can be afraid. God does not deny fear; He shows us where to go with it.
2. It is not the absence of fear that is important, but the direction.
“I put my trust in You” means: I do not remain in fear; I shift my attention and trust to God.
3. Trust is reliance at a particular moment. Not when everything is calm, but exactly when there is anxiety. It is faith and a choice: not to withdraw into oneself, but to rely on God.
4. God becomes a support in instability. Fear arises when there is a lack of control and confidence.
God is the One Who remains when everything else falters and disappears.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Every person faces fear: for the future, for themselves, for their loved ones. And often, the person is left alone. This verse offers another path: not to struggle alone, but to rely on and trust in God.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
1. Do not hide your fear, but admit it.
2. At the moments of anxiety, turn to God, rather than withdraw.
3. Shift your thoughts from the problem to the One Who is stronger and Who controls everything in this world.
4. Learn to trust God even without complete understanding — what is next?
CONCLUSION
Strength is not in the absence of fear, but in where a person goes with it and in Whom they trust.
FINAL THOUGHT
Fear can come to anyone. But it should not remain the main thing. Because where there is trust in God, fear ceases to control life.
PRAYER
Lord, You see all my fears and worries. Help me not to remain in fear, but to trust only in You. Teach me to trust You even when I am anxious and everything is unclear.
Be my support at every moment of my life. Amen.
