HUMILITY

ROMANS 8:10
“But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness”.

WHAT IS THIS VERSE ABOUT?
The Apostle Paul continues to speak about what happens to man when he accepts Christ.
At first glance, this verse may seem complex. But Paul speaks of a simple truth: when Christ comes into a person's life, a new life begins inside them. Yes, the person still lives in their natural body, facing weaknesses, temptations, and difficulties. But something new appears inside — spiritual life, given by God.
Paul shows that a believer no longer belongs to the same old life as before. It is Christ that now livesinside them.
WHAT DOES GOD WANT TO SAY THROUGH THIS VERSE?
God wants people to understand that faith in Christ is not simply accepting certain truths. It is an inner change. When Christ lives in a person, God begins to transform their desires, thoughts, attitudes toward others, and toward themselves. This does not mean that the person becomes perfect overnight. But it does mean that a new power appears inside, transforming their heart and life. What once seemed impossible gradually becomes possible thanks to God's work in the heart.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Because many people look only at their weaknesses and mistakes.
They see that they are still imperfect and begin to doubt whether God is acting in their lives.
But Paul reminds us: the main question is not how much you have changed, but whether Christ lives in you.
If Christ is in the person, then new life is already acting inside, even if its fruits are still growing gradually. God works with a person not instantly, but step by step.
HOW TO USE IT TODAY
• Do not judge your spiritual life only by your mistakes and failures.
• Remember that God changes man gradually, not overnight.
• Trust God's work in your heart more than your fears and doubts.
• Do not try to overcome your addictions and habits on your own. Ask Christ to help, and you will see changes.
CONCLUSION
The presence of Christ in a person's life means the beginning of a new life.
A believer may still struggle with weaknesses, but they are no longer the same person they used to be, because God is acting inside them.
FINAL THOUGHT
The Christian life is built not on how strong a person is, but on the One Who lives inside them. A believer's hope lies not in their own power to change, but in the power of Christ, who gradually transforms their heart from within.
PRAYER
Lord, I understand that, acting on my own, I cannot become the person You want me to be. I too often face my weaknesses, mistakes, and lack of strength.
But thank You that my hope is not in me, but in You. Live in me, change my heart, my thoughts, and my desires. Give me strength where it is lacking, and help me abide in You every day so that I can walk this path of life. Amen.
